Today, I’m delighted to announce that Blueface is launching its next generation Cloud Communications Platform, Blueface UC. Blueface UC has been developed through 4 years of R&D and is a leading edge Unified Communications Platform that delivers hosted telephony, cloud contact centre and a full enterprise grade feature set of voice services with extensive API functionality. Furthermore, it is with huge excitement that Blueface is launching this next generation UC platform in 7 localised operating markets – Ireland, UK, US, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.

Thanks to extensive development hours, our Tech team have built a full feature set Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) Platform which we believe is one of the most advanced and user-friendly in the world. It is for that very reason that we want to share it with the global marketplace.

Our customers set us a challenge to build a Cloud Communications Platform that rivals the functionality and reliability of some of the huge global enterprise software and hardware vendors. They asked us for a platform that was massively scaleable, across locations and jurisdictions, delivers enterprise grade features and offered mobility and flexibility at its core. The new Blueface UC Platform is powerful as a result and will revolutionise the way our customers do business by boosting communications performance and delivering value.

New Platform Features

As an Enterprise user or Partner, you can manage all of your user’s profiles, configurations and provisioning from an easy to use online dashboard which can be accessed from any device due to its responsive design. You can easily configure global offices and multiple sites from one location – assigning global office numbers, user deskphones and localisation elements from an intuitive interface.  Blueface provides global numbering in over 55 countries around the world and all of these numbers, local dial plans and other user elements can be configured in one easy step.

Personally, I’d encourage you to check out the Blueface call flow designer, which is an intuitive drag and drop functionality allowing you to design the call flows of all your office locations and numbers in the way that works for your business.  You can manage time of day routing, intelligent auto responses, media, hunt groups, workflows and other important contact centre functionality with this easy to use tool.  Once applied, the changes you make are deployed in realtime and with the rules that you design. The days of managing multiple, clunky, on premise phone systems is gone and best of all, the control is firmly in your hands from any location.

Commitment to Innovation

Blueface has always been a pioneer of innovation in voice communications. Our first ever VoIP platform was launched in 2004 and was a market leader from the outset.  Not resting on our laurels, we have developed and iterated a differentiated proprietary software platform over the course of 11 years. In particular, since 2012, Blueface has dramatically innovated the software stack, elements and functionality in order to position the Blueface UC Platform as a best in class Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platform.  It provides a complete communications suite, is enterprise grade in terms of functionality, scaleable, secure and reliable.

All elements of the Blueface UC Platform were developed in-house by our technology team and in a responsive way to the needs of our customer. I would like to sincerely thank our technology team for their outstanding commitment to the latest Blueface UC Platform development and also Enterprise Ireland for their unwavering and very significant support. But rest assured that Blueface UC is not our final destination… our technology release roadmap for the next 12 months is really amazing and has everyone in Blueface buzzing with energy.

To coin a phrase from Jim Collins, we really are witnessing the momentum of the “Flywheel Effect” first hand and it is very exciting. Critically, all of the anticipated new product feature and service launches in 2017 are driven by what our customers demand from a leading Cloud Communications Platform and represent a complete reinvention of the traditional Telco approach to doing business.

Market Adoption in Enterprise

Globally, the market research demonstrates that there is a very significant uptake of UCaaS in Enterprises and Companies moving from expensive on-premise solutions to closely integrated, advanced, cloud-based delivery models. There are a number of drivers including i) obsolescence or ineffectiveness of current capital equipment, ii) need for scalability and flexibility, iii) high performance of workplace tools across mobility and territories iv) cost / value advantages of cloud based utilisation of services and platform subscription models and much more.

The UCaaS model goes well beyond prior online delivery approaches by combining efficient use of shared resources, radically simplified solution packaging, self service provisioning, highly elastic and granular scaling. It represents the complete transformation of the traditional value chain of activity in communications and it is driving real innovation in businesses and customer sites around the world.
