Welcome to the next instalment of our 5 Minutes with Blueface series, where we introduce you to some of our Blueface Superstars and offer an insight into their career and team culture.
This week we met Adriana Xavier, one of the newest members of the Blueface team. Adriana is an integral part of the Product Management department utilising her passion for technology, and leveraging her problem-solving skills, to drive the success of the Blueface product.
What’s your Professional Background?
Previously, I worked as a Product Owner for a technology company that specialised in automation and online advertising. I’m an engineer by training, but once I got one foot in the tech industry, there was no going back. I love researching new ideas and analysing the results of what is delivered.
Why Work at Blueface?
I know I’m probably biased, but it has to be Blueface’s products. Our product is so flexible and feature-rich, so it is really motivating to be a part of this. There are a lot of developments and new solutions in the pipeline too! (I’m not just saying that because I’m part of the product team, I swear.)
In my short time with the company, I have found that the culture and Blueface people are a significant part of what makes things so successful. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable, which makes collaboration and innovation pretty endless.
How does remote onboarding work with Blueface?
When I discovered I would be onboarded remotely with Blueface, I had some concerns. However, my concerns have since vanished. The onboarding process was so smooth, and I was so impressed with everything, considering the current COVID-19 cloud we are under.
My hardware was sent out, it was as simple as plug in and go. Working in an organisation like Blueface means I have all the technology and tools that I need.
What tools have helped you collaborate with your new team?
My team is very close, considering some of us have never met face to face. We communicate every day by either voice or video calls. I am so thankful for such a sophisticated UCaaS platform to work off.
The Blueface Video Conferencing solution and Mobile Softphone App have been lifesavers for me as a new starter. The Video Conferencing is helping me put faces to names and build relationships across the business. While the Softphone App allows me to take calls from anywhere, without the need for a deskphone.

Something We Didn’t Know About Adriana?
My first job was very different from the one I have now. I was a Ballet Teacher in a nursery, teaching kids aged 1 to 6.
