Welcome to the next instalment of our Meet the Blueface Team segment. This week we met Andrew Berigan, Head of NOC and one of the Blueface OGs. Andrew has worked in many departments across the business, starting as a customer service representative in 2014. A man of many talents and a backbone of the Blueface team – Let’s find out some things we didn’t know after all these years.
Tell Us How It All Began For Andrew?
I have worked across several industries, some very different to where I am now. The most memorable one would have to be a Kitchen Designer. This is where my obsession for symmetry was put to good use.
My first step into the telecoms world was with Meteor Mobile. This ignited my passion for the industry, and I worked in a few more, both in Ireland and in Melbourne, Australia. In 2014, I started my Blueface journey on a small customer care team, and it’s safe to say I haven’t looked back since.
Why Work at Blueface?
Over my many years in Blueface, I can honestly say I have learned so much. You learn so much from your team and the wider business. This is down to our continued collaboration and working with some of the most innovative technology in the sector.
Something We Didn’t Know About Andrew?
You’ll usually find me out and about in Dublin Docklands at around 6 am in the mornings with my drone. I recently took this footage of our new office space!
If You Could Switch Jobs with Someone in Blueface, Who Would You Go For?
It would have to be Mark Lawless, our Product Manager! Heading up the product team would be a fantastic experience. They are continually innovating and looking for ways to improve the Blueface product and service for global customers. Mark has the most incredible attitude to all he does too!
What’s your Favourite Blueface Memory?
As someone who loves travelling, I’ve been fortunate to do just that with Blueface. One trip really stands out. It was a trip to Florida, and my former colleague Brendan Gaffney and I took a drive to Miami. Of course, he made me do all the driving, but it was a great experience. A proud moment of mine is also a very recent one. In January, I was promoted to Head of NOC, a real career progression for me and an area I am very excited to work in.
Advice for anyone considering working at Blueface?
