Blueface, Ireland’s leading Internet telephony provider has partnered with Irish Domains, provider of Internet domains and web services, to offer a free starter pack for Irish businesses to develop an online presence for their company and to help them communicate with their customers.
The starter pack offered by Blueface and Irish Domains will include a free ‘.ie’ registered domain name, free hosting, a free website builder, email addresses that work on the domain, and a free landline number from Blueface for a year. There are no subscription costs, no deferred fees, no minimum contract period, and no website ads – the services are provided free-of-charge for a year with full control by the business.
Alan Foy, CEO, Blueface, commented:
We are excited to partner with Irish Domains and to be in a position to offer Irish businesses this opportunity to create an online presence for their company and begin to communicate with current and potential customers. Recent research has shown that 26% of SMEs in Ireland do not have a website, and only 16% of Irish businesses use VoIP. Both of these technologies are extremely important and cost-effective ways for companies to engage with customers and clients, and we believe there should be greater adoption of these technologies among Irish businesses.
All businesses based in Ireland or Northern Ireland can sign-up to the Getting Irish Business Online initiative, irrespective of size. It is open to sole traders, partnerships, or registered companies, or where the business is in the process of being established.
Conor Moran, Managing Director, Irish Domains, commented:
As the initiative progresses we hope to connect with more partners in order to offer other free or heavily subsidised services. We will also provide businesses with regular articles and information on smart ways to promote and market their business online, and on how to get the most out of their website. We can also put businesses in contact with local business support agencies and networks, and keep businesses posted on useful events happening in their locality.
