For the fourth time in five years, Blueface has been listed in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, which was announced on November 4th in the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton in Dublin.
The 2016 edition was the seventeenth of Deloitte’s Fast 50 programme in Ireland, which recognises the contributions of the Irish technology sector.
Companies are rewarded with their placement on the Fast 50 list on the merit of their growth over a four year period. It would be remiss of me then to not mention eShopWorld’s 2016 first place finish, which comes on the back of the same result in 2015. That is some achievement in any industry.
In addition, there were a suite of awards handed out to recognise particular achievements in the tech sector.
Congratulations to Spearline Labs in particular for winning the Impact Award for the positive influence the company has had in Skibbereen and surrounding areas.
Lulu O’Sullivan, CEO of TheIrishStore.com and GiftsDirect.com was the deserving winner of the Leading Female award, recognising her provision of support, opportunity and success for women whilst growing a dynamic online business.
I’d like to thank the Blueface team for their performance over the last year, which has helped us to return to the Fast 50 list. It is always nice for hard work and commitment to be recognised, especially amongst such excellent competition.
Of course, it’s also easier to grow when operating in a growth industry. Unified communications and hosted voice services have a bright outlook for the forseeable future as end dates for traditional analogue telephony services are being announced across Europe.
The benefits which an online phone system offers over a traditional setup are substantial for businesses of all sizes. As hosted voice grows as an industry, with Blueface growing strongly within that year after year, the outcome is more and more businesses experiencing better business communications. That is certainly a positive outcome.
Finally, Deloitte must be thanked. Firstly, for a well organised and wonderful evening, and secondly but more importantly for establishing this renowned annual list which helps foster and reward success for Irish tech firms.
