One year on from the launch of Blueface Italia in Rome, we were delighted to have our new Italian office officially opened yesterday by Mr Richard Bruton TD, the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
It was a great honour for us and a terrific way to celebrate St. Patrick’s day in Italy! Along with Minister Bruton, the opening was attended by the Irish Ambassador to Italy, Mr Bobby McDonagh; Ms Julie Sinnamon, CEO, Enterprise Ireland; Mr Paul Maguire, Manager Italy and Spain, Enterprise Ireland; and Mr Dermot Clohessy, Executive Director, IDA Ireland.

The Blueface Italia team is now based in the main technological centre in Rome, located at the Roma Termini Train Station. There are over forty other high-tech start-up enterprises in the centre so it is a real hub of innovation and we love the atmosphere and all the opportunities it gives us to interact with other companies in the IT Innovation space.
Speaking at the opening, Mr Richard Bruton TD, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation said:
“It is great to see an Irish telecommunications company with the ability to establish a business in a market such as Italy. It is a dynamic and innovative enterprise operating in a highly competitive environment and I wish Blueface Italia every success as it flies the Irish flag in Italy.”
It’s hard to believe that just a year ago, we launched Blueface Italia in the Ambassador’s Residence in Rome. We’ve made considerable progress in less than a year, with two major managed service contracts with Italian ISPs, and to coincide with the official opening of our new office, Blueface Italia is delighted to announce a partnership with alter.net, an Italian systems integrator, whose customers include Fendi, Finmeccanica and Manpower.

A number of other companies from the technological centre in which we are now located have also signed up for a Blueface service; we’re thrilled with the vote of confidence and we’ve been getting some great feedback from users.
We are delighted with the early stage progress we have made in Italy and our new office will be a central part of our growth strategy. Many thanks to those who have supported us; for more information about Blueface Italia, please contact italy@blueface.com
