We are delighted to announce that Blueface has become the first Irish telecommunications company to enter the mobile merchant payments domain.
Our strategic partnership with SumUp allows Blueface to provide businesses with mobile, landline and payment solutions in one unified offering. In simple terms businesses and traders can attach a small, easy to use device to their smartphone to immediately accept credit card payments from their customers. There is no monthly rental fee or long contracts and there is a simple low cost transaction fee of 1.95% (effective Wed 25th Sept 2013). For a limited time only, new customers who sign up for Sumup will receive the Blueface branded credit card reader free of charge. Don’t miss out on this amazing offer.
To celebrate this launch, Blueface organised a customer event in House Dublin on Leeson Street which was a great opportunity to network and learn more about the offering. Thanks to those who attended and made the event such as success.
The Blueface branded payment device is now available to any small or medium sized business in Ireland, the UK and Italy. Taxi drivers, market traders and artisans in particular will benefit from the device, as mobile payments can be easily processed right on the spot and customers paying by card will no longer have to be turned away.
The payment system is easy to use and any smartphone or tablet can quickly and easily be turned into a card terminal by attaching the portable card-reader and installing its related free app. This service works on both iOS and Android operating systems. The price to be paid can either be manually entered into the installed app or via a predefined product category. The customer confirms the transaction with their signature and can then have the receipt sent to them via SMS or email upon request.
