Each year the Gran Fira, a sprawling network of eight stadium sized buildings in Barcelona, plays host to executives across the global telecoms industry. It’s the most important event for the sector where operators, handset manufacturers, and service providers from around the world all converge. This week Blueface joined 100,000 attendees to discover the latest technologies in the sector.
Several talks took place throughout the day with industry leaders, including Facebook’s Mark Zuckerburg, addressing the audience while many of the mobile handset manufacturers such as Huawei, LG and Samsung launched their new flagship phones.
The expo floors showcase each companies’ latest products; 40-foot high video screens, motorised drone delivery robots, 3D imaging and even a simulated rollercoaster powered by virtual reality headsets.
Enterprise Ireland takes a space each year at MWC and allows emerging Irish companies like Blueface to demo their offerings. On Tuesday evening, Blueface joined the EI networking reception that brought together Irish and International companies together over some Guinness, Irish food and some live Irish music. It’s a great opportunity to meet peer companies on a similar journey to Blueface and share experiences of growing internationally.
While no expense is spared on the exhibition spaces to impress passing crowds, undoubtedly the key focus of MWC is the meetings that take place. It’s where many deals and relationships are formed across the 80 trillion euro industry.
Blueface held several high-level meetings with existing key partners and potential new ones over the course of a few days. Panasonic, one of our strategic partners, invited us to join their European leadership team in communication technologies for a meeting and working lunch. Both our two management teams met to discuss future collaboration opportunities, product roadmaps and review the success of the past year.
Blueface demonstrated a preview of our new Cloud PBX solution that brings new unified communication capabilities to market for the first time. The imminent launch of the enterprise platform brings intelligent mobile and landline integration to help mobilise the workforce, provides more phone administration control for admin users and overall delivers a more professional phone call experience for our customers.
It’s now almost six years since our partnership began and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Relationships matter and ultimately our time invested since 2010 with Panasonic has been one that’s always benefited our customer’s experience.
