Blueface have added Edugate to its service portfolio. Edugate is HEAnet’s new federated access service that removes the need for multiple usernames and passwords.
Edugate works like a digital skeleton key and allows users to use Single Sign-On (SSO) for rapid, secure login to some 2,500 services – including the Blueface UC Portal – powered by SAML authentication.
2017 Access
The SSO access service facilitated over 30 million logins across the education and research sectors in 2017.
Next Generation Access
Edugate’s SSO is a must-have for Blueface customers and partners as well as IT managers, registrars researchers, librarians, remote learning coordinators and students, bringing the following benefits:
Immediate set-up and take-down user-access to all platforms.
Built-in flexibility in line with data compliance – no more login spreadsheets.
Edugate users have access to 182 federated services and through affiliation with eduGAIN confederation – users can take advantage of an additional 2,452 services.
As technology sprawl grows, Blueface is focused on consolidating services with a vision for the future of communication and digital agility.
