What does the future hold for women in technology, and how can we all play our part?
Over the last few years, many of the world’s leading IT companies have been making a proactive effort to recruit and train more women within IT Services and STEM. As a result, companies worldwide are beginning to see that diversity generates innovation, better business, and more revenue.
“Companies with the greatest gender diversity (8 out of every 20 managers were female) generated about 34% of their revenues from innovative products and services in the most recent three-year period.” Boston Consulting Group.
‘Diversity’ is no longer just a buzzword for businesses. Instead, diversity should be actioned with strategies set in place.
This can be done through small, impactful changes, including, more women involved in the recruitment process and a cultural focus on unconscious bias. Additionally, providing working flexibility and non-traditional working arrangements will remove some barriers that can deter women from certain roles.
We can all #breakthebias for International’s Women Day 2022 and everyday, so gender diversity in tech and across all industries is achieved to build a better tomorrow for the next generation.
