On Friday evening, the 13th of May, The Ireland Funds Spring Gala 2016 took place. The gala was held in the wonderfully elegant surrounds of the InterContinental Hotel in Ballsbridge. During the evening guests enjoyed wine and a delicious dinner before The Spirit of Ireland Awards were presented.
Gary McGann, Chairman of Paddy Power plc, recently retired Group CEO of Smurfit Kappa Group received the Outstanding Contribution to Business Award. Gary is one of Ireland’s most accomplished Chief Executives and an active philanthropist.
The Outstanding Contribution to Arts & Culture Award was presented to Jim Sheridan, a master storyteller, writer and director of some of Ireland’s most memorable films including In the Name of the Father, My Left Foot, and The Boxer.
The evening helped raise both funding and awareness for the vital work that the Ireland Funds does across the island. Blueface is one of The Ireland Funds corporate partners, and was represented at the event by our management team – Alan Foy, Feargal Brady, Nameer Kazzaz, Brendan Gaffney, Luca Caralvi, Brian Martin, Sean O’Riordan and the marketing team.
