Welcome to the next instalment of our 5 Minutes with Blueface series, where we introduce you to some of our Blueface Superstars and offer an insight into their career and team culture.
This week we met the wonderfully innovative Deepika Chandra Sekar. Deepika works as a UX/UI Designer on Blueface’s Product Development Team and will soon be celebrating her first anniversary with the company.
What’s your Professional Background?
I was born in India and began working as a UX/UI Designer after completing my Bachelors in Information Technology. In 2018 I moved to Ireland, where I continued to gain experience within this space.
I then went on to do my Masters in Creative Digital Media and UX Design in Technological University Dublin. My knowledge and education allows me to sit somewhere in the middle of tech and design, which has helped me solve many problems at work.
Why Work at Blueface?
This is very easy. It’s the team spirit, collaboration and synergy. I count myself lucky to have such passionate colleagues.
My team is made up of 3 design nerds whose energy comes from exchanging ideas and conversations about feature enhancement & development. We are each other’s motivation.
Everyone is at hand to help and more importantly communicate when it is needed, and this is more important than ever as we continue to work remotely.

Something We Didn’t Know About Deepika?
I’m a real listener, and I like to observe. I think listening helps me keep my mind open to more opinions than just my own and to gain different perspectives in life.
I also have a unique love for mathematics, meddling with numbers, and probability is fun for me.
Advice for Anyone Considering Working at Blueface?
Don’t think twice. Blueface is a fantastic place. You are welcomed in with open arms, from such a diverse group of people, coming from all walks of life. As well as an incredible team, Blueface is a place for professional and personal growth, with endless opportunities available.
If you Could have Anyone Else’s Job in Blueface, Who Would it be?
Definitely Guillaume Bonnet. I would love to test myself for just one day with his beyond busy schedule and embrace his incredible work ethic. Secretly, or not so secretly now, I would love to have his superpower to approve our design sprints too.
Furthermore, he is a great person to work with, and I admire his ability to effectively communicate with different teams and understand what each team needs to produce first-class products and designs.
What is your Proudest Moment Working at Blueface?
There isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t feel proud. It’s such a boost to see my designs being deployed in the portal for Blueface and our Whitelabel users. I get great satisfaction when my designs are implemented, delivering improved user functionality and product capabilities.
As an example, the recent launch of the Blueface Video Conferencing tool was a real team effort and something we worked very hard to implement. Since the launch, the product has gone from strength to strength and the feedback has been excellent.
